This calendar contains a wide variety of events across the DFW Metroplex for all ages and interests. We hope you will use it as your central hub for planning your stay in DFW if you have travelled to view the Total Solar Eclipse or if you are a resident seeking to make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
While the majority of the events are scheduled during the weekend before the Total Eclipse, others are programmed in the months leading up to the April 8, 2024 celestial event. Learn more about the Total Eclipse DFW here.
Event options include learning opportunities to help you and your family understand what happens during the Total Solar Eclipse, how to prepare and most importantly, how to protect your eyes during the lead up to and the aftermath of the period of totality.

On April 8, 2024, Free Play Fort Worth (and its acclaimed rooftop and patios) will add another attraction to its roster when perhaps the most fascinating celestial event of the decade passes right over the arcade. According to NASA, the partial eclipse will begin at 12:22 PM and continue until 3:01 PM, with a total eclipse lasting nearly 3 minutes. Your ticket includes:

◘ ISO + CE Certified Eclipse Glasses*
* Use of eclipse glasses is subject to all warnings present on the glasses and you must use them as indicated by the instructions. Free Play purchased these glasses as certified but your use of such glasses is AT YOUR OWN RISK. Please check your solar eclipse glasses before using them. If you see any scratches or damage, do not use them. Please supervise your children to make sure they’re using solar eclipse glasses correctly. Cover your eyes with your solar eclipse glasses before you look near the sun. Look away before you remove your glasses. If you feel any discomfort at any point, please look away from the sun.
